They have helped me tremendously, especially when it comes to understanding parasympathetics in the head and the inguinal canal. I honestly don't know how any of my classmates managed to understand the chorda tympani or the lesser petrosal nerve using the textbooks and lectures we have (I suspect many of them didn't)

Colin Morley, Professor/Director of Neonatal Medicine, Melbourne, Australia, 8th January 2007
I just received the CD. I already own the textbook and let me just say that Professor Whitaker is a credit to the teaching world. He has the remarkable ability to make a student WANT to learn more about Anatomy as opposed to it being a box to tick before an exam. The detail is impressive and, shockingly, not overwhelming whilst being concise and coherent.
I was first introduced to his lectures via the podcasts; using it as a teaching method is incredibly effective, efficient and enjoyable - a great idea which should be exploited further. Take it from a medical student who is not easily impressed - keep up the fantastic work.

Retesh , 24th December 2007

My name is Gladys S. Chuy. I am originally from Minnesota but am studying medicine in Guatemala at: Universidad Francisco Marroquin. As a second year student learning medicine in Spanish has been a challenge but this website has been a wonderful help. I use it quite a bit as a quick reference especially, since finding books in English is a challenge. This will be a great help in the future in preparation for the USMLE's. I will definitely pass this website along to my classmates. Thank you. Gladys.

This is a great site, indeed. I am an assistant professor of human anatomy and I have been teaching first- and second-year medical students for the last five years. I think I will whole-heartedly recommend the site to all my students. Contrary to the general notion that anatomy is tedious and difficult, this site is a solid proof it can also be most interesting and fun to study. I shall be happy hear from anyone who shares my ideas and is willing to exchange views. THANK YOU!!

I briefly visited your page and found it quite interesting. I am a lecturer of Anatomy at Washington Unive. Med. school in St. Luis and would love to receive an examination copy of Instant Anatomy, I feel a short textbook of Systematic Anatomy is needed both for medical amd physical therapy students. This site and your book have made learning anatomy much easier and even enjoyable. I would recommend this site/CD to anyone studying anatomy. You have also been a true inspiration to all the students you see and lecture to throughout the 1A course at Cambridge.

The diagrams on this site are absolutely first class. I didn't mind buying the book or the CD, you deserved to get paid for all the work which you have put in. I thought the price I paid was insignificant when compared to the knowledge I have gained.

I find this site extremely useful, so much so that I have now purchased the CD, the crosswords and questions from which were invaluable in my viva last week! I have no hesitation in recommending this site to anyone studying anatomy like me. In fact I was so impressed that I shall be reviewing it in the Guy's, King's & St.Thomas' Gazette (www.gktgazette.com) very soon. I just want to thank you all for visiting our site. Hits are running at 100,000 per month at present. This response make all the hardwork setting it up well worthwhile. Also to tell you that the CD is now available via the site. It has higher quality images, provides access to the answers to the questions and gives anatomy buffs some crosswords. Your comments will be appreciated when you have seen it.

Ace site! I especially love the mnemonics like 'Tom Dick & Harry;' and 'Timothy has a very nasty disease.' The only addition I would make is the answers to the questions and changing the typeset as when printed (even on a laser) looks sort of smudged.

Having used Instant anatomy (textbook) to prepare (with great success)for my second year clinical anatomy exam, I am highly impressed with this web-site. Now in my fourth year - reading Osteopathic and Naturopathic Medicine - I still refer to the book occasionally - this web-site is another valued addition to my 'revision' list.

I am keen not to give the answers to the questions because they are all there in the Cambridge Dissection Manual. I wrote them in such a way that they cover the current material and when you have worked out all the answers you can be fairly certain that you have a grasp of the material. Cambridge students can easily ask me for the answers when they see me and all else can email me with a confusing one. Good luck with them!
